Ahmedabad-based Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TRIL] has reported the winning of two new orders, aggregating over Rs.140 crore.

In a stock exchange notification, TRIL said that it has received two orders aggregating Rs.145 crore for transformers from well-known companies. The names of the clients placing the orders were not revealed though.

These new orders have taken the company’s outstanding order book to Rs.1,521 crore, the TRIL filing noted.

“The said orders fall under the normal course of business. The company neither has any interest in these entities that awarded the orders nor fall within related party transactions,” the filing added.

TRIL, with three manufacturing plants around the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, is the second-largest transformer manufacturing company in India, based on installed capacity. The company manufacturers power, distribution, furnace and specialty transformers, for both domestic and international markets.
