Vikran Engineering Ltd and Dilip Buildcon have won major EPC projects related to development of solar power generation capacity, the companies said in independent announcements.
While Vikran Engineering has landed a Rs.2,035-crore mandate in Maharashtra, Dilip Buildcon has won EPC contracts valued at Rs.4,900 crore in Madhya Pradesh.
Vikran Engineering’s work order, placed by Onix Renewables Ltd, is for the development of 6,000 MW (AC) of solar power capacity across multiple locations in Maharashtra.
The contract entails execution of the project on a turnkey EPC basis, covering end-to-end activities including design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. The scope of work also includes the supply of key components such as solar PV modules and inverters. The project is expected to be completed within a 12-month timeline.
Dilip Buildcon has been awarded its project by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (MPUVNL), on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Ltd (MPPMCL). In a regulatory filing, Dilip Buildcon said that the mandate involves development, design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, commissioning, O&M of grid-connected solar PV power plants under PM KUSUM-C (Feeder Solarization) for sale of power to MPPMCL for 25 years from COD. The aggregate solar power generation capacity envisaged in this contract is 1363.5 MW.
The project will be implemented through multiple special purpose vehicles, and Dilip Buildcon Ltd shall secure an EPC business opportunity valued at approximately Rs.4,900 crores (excluding GST) to be executed over the next 18 months.
