“Being one of the largest listed specialized EPC companies of India, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd  is constantly working on integrating sustainability in its operations through responsible business practices. The company is working towards providing sustainable infrastructure solutions in all its businesses including power transmission, railways, oil & gas, buildings & factories. The brand’s environmental strategy is driven by three Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle.

We are the only EPC company in India to generate approx. 325 MW of green power daily and we take pride in using bio fuel, solar panels, wind energy in our daily operations which is supporting us in our journey towards achieving Net Zero Carbon. Some of our routine practices include regular energy audit by external experts to improve energy efficiency as well as installation of energy efficient equipments across the company, installation of solar panels across the manufacturing facilities to minimise our dependence on fossil fuel and adoption of renewable alternatives, installation of fuel meters across sites to measure, control consumption / wastage and reducing dependence on fossil fuel operated vehicles.

Our sustainability strategy is built on the three vital pillars of Creating Positive Impact, Performing Responsibly and Engaging with Stakeholders.”

Lalit Tiwari expressed this view on the occasion of World Sustainable Energy Day 2023 that fell on February 28, 2023.
