The cables business of Havells India Ltd enjoyed a 47.8 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue during the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY27.

In a release, Havells India said that its cable business revenue during Q2FY27, at Rs.2999 crore was 47.9 per cent higher than the Rs.2,028 crore in Q2FY26.

This growth was led by commodity-linked price increases and the product mix leaning towards higher-sized cables, the company said in an investor presentation.

Growth in Q2FY27 revenue of the switchgear business, at 31.3 per cent was boosted by domestic demand pickup and recovery in exports post Q1FY27 disruption, the presentation observed.

The business revenue growth of the company’s various divisions is summarized below:

Strong business performance

Commenting on the financial performance Anil Rai Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Havells India Ltd, said, “Q2 delivered strong business performance with around 35 per cent year-on-year revenue growth and around 30 per cent EBITDA growth as the demand remained steady despite inflationary environment.
