Transrail Lighting Ltd (TLL) has reported a 72 per cent year-on-year growth in new order inflow during the first quarter (Q1: April to June) of FY26.

In a release, TLL said that new order inflows in Q1FY26, at Rs.1,748 crore, were 72 per cent higher than the comparable level in FY25.

A major part of the Q1FY26 order inflow related to domestic power T&D projects, the release observed.

The outstanding order book, as of June 30, 2025, was Rs.14,654 crore, implying a year-on-year growth of 44 per cent. Including L1 positions, the unexecuted order book stood at Rs.15,637 crore.

FY26 starts on a strong note

According to Randeep Narang, Managing Director & CEO, Transrail Lighting Ltd, “We have started the financial year on a strong note, delivering robust growth in revenue, profitability and order intake. Our consistent order inflow led by the core T&D segment, has further strengthened our Order book which coupled with our sharp focus on execution, reinforces our confidence in sustaining this momentum in the quarters ahead.”

Driven by Power T&D

According to a TLL investor presentation, around 97 per cent of the company’s Q1FY26 order inflow related to power T&D projects (including substations). The remaining inflow pertained to transmission hardware (poles) and lighting. Domestic orders accounted for 79 per cent of the total order inflow in Q1FY26.

With respect to the outstanding order book of Rs.14,654 crore as of June 30, 2024, around 93 per cent related to the power T&D business. From a geographical perspective, around 60 per cent of the outstanding order book related to the domestic market.

Orders commissioned

During Q1FY26, some of the key transmission lines that Transrail Lighting commissioned in the domestic market include:

  • 765kV double-circuit KPS2 – Lakadia for Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, in Gujarat
  • 765kV double-circuit KPS1 – KPS2 for Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, in Gujarat
