Atlanta Electricals closes H1FY26 with Rs.2,000 crore-plus order book

Atlanta Electricals Ltd has closed the first half (H1: April to September) of current fiscal year FY26 with an unexecuted order book of over Rs.2,000 crore.

In a release, Atlanta Electricals said its order book, as of September 30, 2025, was Rs.2,069 crore, with strong execution visibility over the next few months.

The company’s order book has seen a steady rise from Rs.1,171 crore as of September 30, 2024 and Rs.1643 crore as of June 30, 2025.

During the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY26, the company received Rs.100 crore worth of transformer orders for large solar pooling substations across Rajasthan and Karnataka, underscoring strong traction in the renewable energy (RE) segment.

On the exports front, Atlanta secured a Rs.20-crore order for 132/33kV and 33/11kV transformers, marking the company’s debut into key markets across Asia and Middle East, the release noted.

Sustained traction: According to Niral Patel, Chairman & Managing Director, Atlanta Electricals Ltd, “Our order book remains healthy at Rs.2,069 crore as of September 30, 2025, providing clear visibility for the next few quarters. From a business perspective, we are witnessing sustained traction across our product segments, particularly in power transformers catering to utilities, renewable projects, and industrial applications. The increasing government focus on transmission infrastructure, renewable integration, and grid reliability continues to open new opportunities — areas where Atlanta Electricals is strategically positioned to deliver.”

Installed capacity: As of September 30, 2025, Atlanta Electricals had a combined annual transformer manufacturing capacity of 63,060 MVA spread across five locations – four in Gujarat and one in Bengaluru. During Q2FY26, incremental capacity addition was achieved at the Jambusar plant of Atlanta Trafo Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atlanta Electricals.

It may be recalled that Atlanta Electricals Ltd, in April 2025, acquired full ownership of BTW Atlanta Transformers Pvt Ltd, which was incorporated in 2012 as a 90:10 joint venture between Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co (BTW) of China and Atlanta UHV Transformers LLP, the promoters of Atlanta Electricals Ltd.

The acquisition was made at an enterprise value of around Rs.260 crore, which included around Rs.80 crore of borrowings of BTW. Atlanta got the better of other contenders like CG and TARIL that had also bid for BTW-Atlanta.

The acquisition is significant as BTW-Atlanta’s existing manufacturing plant at Jambusar in Gujarat is easily upgradable to produce transformers up to 1,200kV. Currently, it can produce transformers in the 400kV and 765kV voltage class.

Upon its acquisition, BTW Atlanta Transformers Pvt Ltd has now renamed to Atlanta Trafo Pvt Ltd, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Atlanta Electricals Ltd.
