Yash Highvoltage Ltd expects to begin trial production at its greenfield transformer bushings factory at Vadodara, Gujarat, in the first half of FY27, which is by September 2026. Commercial production is expected to begin in the second half (H2: October to March) of FY27.

Coming up on 2.5 lakh sqft of land and a built-up area of 1.5 lakh sqft, this greenfield unit will entail capital expenditure of around Rs.153 crore.

The objective of this new unit is to augment production capacity of RIP (resin impregnated paper) and RIS (resin impregnated synthetic) transformer bushings. The new facility will also manufacture RIP/RIS cores, which are currently imported, and will hence serve as an important backward integration measure.

With the new plant, the company’s overall manufacturing capacity of RIP/RIS transformer bushings is expected to increase by around 6,000 units per year. Yash Highvoltage is also planning to target the export market of high-value RIP/RIS transformer bushings from the upcoming Vadodara plant. Currently, the company is producing such bushings only for the domestic market, through its existing facilities.

Performance in FY26
  • Yash Highvoltage achieved its highest-ever fiscal year sales in FY26 at 7,272 units, compared to 5,752 units FY25. Sales in FY26 predominantly included RIP bushings to the extent of 83 per cent in value terms. The company also sold OIP (oil impregnated bushings) and high-current bushings, among other products.
  • Successfully completed in-house testing of the first 245kV oil-to-oil transformer bushing, strengthening the company’s technological capabilities
  • Completed the acquisition of Sukrut Electric in partnership with Quality Power, strengthening participation across the broader transformer component ecosystem. (Read full tndindia.com story dated July 9, 2025)

Order book

As of March 31, 2026, the company’s unexecuted order book was Rs.400 crore, rising sharply from Rs.150 crore as of March 31, 2025.

Overseas ventures

The company operationalized Yash HV USA Inc. and expanded international presence through strategic distribution partnerships across Europe and the UK. Yash Highvoltage also strengthened its global market presence through strategic partnerships with Weidmann for select European and North African markets, and Electrolink for the UK, Ireland, and Wales.
