Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd (TPDDL) has launched 9-watt “ANTI-BAC” LED bulbs at highly affordable prices, in line with the discount-based LED bulbs scheme that comes in collaboration with Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd

To avail the scheme, consumers will have to visit their nearest Tata Power-DDL Customer Care Centres.

A release from TPDDL noted that this breakthrough innovation comes with advanced envirosafe technology that helps provide dual benefits to consumers, delivering regular LED light and also killing up to 85 per cent germs, creating a healthy and safe environment. It is recommended by The Indian Medical Association.

Tata Power-DDL has been encouraging its consumers to opt for efficient lighting measures. These LED Bulbs, originally priced at Rs.190 per unit, will be exclusively available at a discounted price of Rs.85 per unit across Tata Power-DDL’s customer care centres. The company is also offering 1 year replacement warranty on the product.

The ANTI-BAC LED Bulb has an array of features:

  • It works on the concept of how light can kill germs depending on the wavelength at which it is emitted.
  • It kills up to 85 per cent germs including harmful bacteria to provide continuous microbial disinfection with visible light
  • It does not emit any UV/IR radiations but only visible light, which is safe for humans

Commenting on the launch of the scheme, Ganesh Srinivasan, CEO, Tata Power-DDL ,said, “Tata Power-DDL not only believes in supplying non-stop power but also in contributing towards energy conservation for the environmental good by promoting energy efficient and healthy friendly appliances and products. In this line, we have joined hands with Crompton Greaves to offer anti-bacterial LED bulbs to our consumers at a discounted price. I believe our consumers will opt for this unique scheme in large numbers in order to cut down on their energy bills and indoor bacterial presence”.
