The conductor business of Apar Industries Ltd has recorded order inflow of over Rs.2,000 crore in the fourth quarter (Q4: January to March) of FY25.
In an investor presentation, Apar said that its conductor business recorded new order inflow of Rs.2,114 crore in Q4 of FY25.
As of March 31, 2025, the outstanding order book of this division was Rs.7,163 crore out of which exports accounted for 35.6 per cent.
Sales volume of conductors, at 2.23 lakh tonnes in FY25 was 7.8 per cent higher than the corresponding 2.07 lakh tonnes in FY24. However, the corresponding revenue growth was 19.3 per cent, owing to higher realization, the presentation said.
The share of exports in the total revenue of the conductor business fell to 24.2 per cent in FY25 from 44.9 per cent in FY24. While exports to the US were subdued during the first three quarters of the year, the recovered sharply in Q4FY25.
The domestic cable business continued to deliver strong performance with year-on-year revenues growing by 43.1 per cent in FY25. Overall revenues from the cables business (including exports) were up 28.1 per cent in FY25, touching Rs.4,945 crore. However, export mix in FY25 was lower at 31.1 per cent in FY25 as against 38.3 per cent in FY24.
The pending order book of the cables business, as of March 31, 2025, stood at Rs.1,690 crore.
