Atlanta Electricals Ltd has announced the winning of an order to the supply of transformers and bus reactors.

In a release, Atlanta Electricals said that it has landed an order valued at Rs.183.54 crore from BNC Power Projects Ltd. The order is for the supply of a mix of 315 MVA, 400kV and 100 MVA, 132kV transformers. The order also includes a 400kV bus reactor.

The contract covers design, manufacturing, testing and supply of equipment at a project site of BNC Power Projects Ltd at Pugal in Rajasthan.

The deliveries will be sequenced post engineering and drawing approvals, providing multi-quarter execution visibility and a steady production run-rate, Atlanta said.

Marquee win

According to Niral Patel, Managing Director, Atlanta Electricals Ltd, “This is a marquee win in our EHV portfolio and a strong endorsement of Atlanta’s design, testing and execution capabilities. The product mix of EHV power transformers and bus reactor, plays to our core strengths and expands our reference base in grid-critical projects. For the company, this order adds multi-quarter execution visibility and supports a steady manufacturing run-rate once approvals are in place, improving capacity utilisation and operating leverage across our Anand facilities.”

Order book

According to information available in Atlanta Electricals’ Red Herring Prospectus (RHP), the company’s outstanding order book, as of March 31, 2025, stood at around Rs.1,643 crore. Further, a little over 80 per cent of the company’s order book came from state utilities.

The company has four operational manufacturing facilities – three in Gujarat (of which two are in Anand and one in Vadod) and one at Bengaluru in Karnataka. Another manufacturing unit, the company’s fifth, is located at Ankhi in Gujarat and is in process of beginning commercial production.

The company’s total manufacturing capacity (including the Ankhi unit) is learnt to be around 63,060 MVA and total production during FY26 is projected at around 33,602 MVA.
