Bajel Projects Ltd has reported the winning of two orders aggregating over Rs.450 crore, related to power transmission.

The first order relates to supply of goods and services contract for transmission line package “TL01” for the Halvad-Vataman 765kV double-circuit line Part-I associated with “Transmission system for evacuation of additional 7 GW RE power from Khavda RE park under Phase-III Part B,” which is being developed under the TBCB route.

This order, placed by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) and taking shape in Gujarat, is valued at Rs.3,58.43 crore (excluding taxes), Bajel Projects said. The 765kV line, running 81 km, is scheduled to commission within 21 months.

According to information available with T&D India, the aforementioned TBCB scheme is being implemented by a project SPV “Vataman Transmission Ltd,” a wholly-owned subsidiary of PGCIL.

The second order, also placed by PGCIL, relates to balance works of removal of LILO of Bawana‐Mandola 400kV double-circuit line at Maharanibagh substation and extension of above LILO section from Maharanibagh up to Narela substation to form 2x400kV double-circuit Maharanibagh‐Narela line, in Rajasthan.

This Rs.92.18-crore order (excluding taxes) will involve 400kV multi-circuit lines on monopoles and lattice towers, and is scheduled to complete in three months of the date of award. This order forms part of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) scheme officially referred to as “Transmission System associated with evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1GW) under Phase‐II Part G1’’ and is being developed by PGCIL.

It may be recalled that in January 2024, Bajel Projects had reported the winning of a Rs.488-crore order from Tata Power, also related to power transmission. (Read more)
