KEC wins orders worth Rs.1,845 crore

KEC International Ltd has secured new orders of Rs.1,845 crore, the RPG Group company said in a release.

The power transmission and distribution (T&D) business has secured orders of Rs.1,684 crore in India and the Americas.  These include: (1) an EPC order for construction of 765kV and 400kV transmission Lines from an unnamed TBCB developer in western and southern India. (2) a turnkey order for construction of a 400kV transmission line in south India from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (3)  an order for construction of 400kV and 220kV substations in south India for the Yettinahole integrated water project (4) various supply orders in Americas.

The cables business (formerly RPG Cables) has also secured various supply/EPC orders of Rs.161 crore, the release added.

“The order book in our core T&D Business has strengthened significantly with the above order wins. Overall, we have a very strong order book and a healthy L1 position,” commented Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd.

IL&FS Engineering wins electrification contracts

IL&FS Engineering & Construction Company Ltd (IL&FS Engineering Services) has received the letters of intent, worth Rs.237 crore, from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) under the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS). The first LOI relates to urban electrification works of Dhanbad Electric Supply Circle of JBVNL covering two towns (Dhanbad & Chirkunda) in Dhanbad district, for a contract price of Rs 126.38 crore. The second is for urban electrification works of Dumka-Sahibganj Electric Supply Circle of JBVNL covering seven towns (Dumka, Sahibganj, Mihijam, Pakur, Rajmahal, Jamtara and Basukinath) spead over Dumka, Jamtara, Sahibganj and Pakur districts in Jharkhand for a contract price of Rs 110.38 crore. The completion schedule for both the contracts is 24 months.
