GE Power India Ltd has witnessed a year-on-year growth of 34 per cent in core services order inflow in FY26, even as overall order intake suffered a sharp decline.
In an investor presentation, GE Power India Ltd (GEPIL) said that its core services order inflow in FY26, at Rs.734 crore, was 34 per cent higher than the comparable Rs.548 crore in FY25.
In fact, GEPIL’s order inflow from its core services has risen steadily from Rs.299 crore in FY22 to Rs.734 crore in FY26, evincing a compounded annual growth rate of around 25 per cent.

For GE Power India Ltd, “core services” typically include EPC solutions for thermal and gas-based power plants; manufacturing, installation and maintenance of turbines and generators; design and manufacturing of boilers (from the company’s Durgapur facility in West Bengal); end-to-end project management services, etc.
GEPIL’s overall order inflow in FY26 stood at Rs.877 crore in FY26, sharply down from Rs.2183 crore in FY25. However, this should be seen against the fact that the company had booked some very large orders in FY25, leading to order intake in FY26 showing a year-on-year decline of around 60 per cent.
The unexecuted order backlog of GEPIL, as of March 31, 2026, was Rs.1631 crore, down from Rs.2662 crore as of March 31, 2025. However, the order backlog relating to core services was higher at Rs.1218 crore as of March 31, 2026 as against Rs.1124 crore as of the same date in 2025.
As indicated earlier, the year-on-year growth in core services order inflow (both OEM and third party) was up 34 per cent year-on-year in FY26. GEPIL, in the presentation, said that it will continue to focus on growth in third party orders (other than OEM) where it witnessed a near-doubling of order intake from Rs.162 crore in FY25 to Rs.320 crore in FY26.
GEPIL also said that it would target emergency repair opportunities and support customers to bring back power units to grid, in the shortest possible time.
