Jyoti Structures Ltd has successfully commissioned and brought into operation galvanisation facilities at its second tower manufacturing unit in Nashik.

In a release, JSL said that unit has an annual manufacturing capacity of 36,000 tonnes and has become operational following completion of installation, testing, and readiness of the new galvanizing facilities.

With this commissioning, the facility is now fully integrated into Jyoti Structures’ manufacturing and execution framework. The commissioning includes a new galvanising plant, the addition of three CNC drilling machines, and refurbishment of existing CNC equipment at the facility, strengthening fabrication accuracy, throughput discipline, and finishing quality across the manufacturing cycle.

The company’s first Nashik manufacturing unit, also with an annual capacity of 36,000 tonnes, continues to operate at optimal levels since its revival in August 2022.  This unit has been supporting active project execution and sustained capacity utilisation.

With both units functional, the aggregate installed tower manufacturing capacity at Nashik stands at around 72,000 tonnes, creating a consolidated and scalable manufacturing base to support current and upcoming transmission projects, the release said.

Jyoti Structures Ltd’s manufacturing footprint includes facilities at Nashik (Maharashtra) and Raipur (Chhattisgarh), supported by a dedicated testing station and R&D centre in Maharashtra.

Strengthening manufacturing depth

Commenting on the development, Rajesh Kumar Singh, CEO, Jyoti Structures Ltd, said, “The commissioning of galvanisation operations at our second Nashik unit strengthens our manufacturing depth and operational control across critical stages of tower production. As project scale and technical complexity increase across the transmission sector, execution reliability and in-house capability become decisive factors.”

Order book

Jyoti Structures has an order book close to Rs.2,400 crore, excluding GST, providing clear execution visibility, the release said. The order book includes a ±800kV HVDC order valued at Rs.741 crore, placed by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Read tndindia.com story dated January 27, 2025 for more information)
