Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL), in a stock exchange filing, has said that it has won a new power T&D order in the international market.

The Mumbai-headquartered EPC player in the power and infrastructure segment said that it has won new orders worth around Rs.900 crore.

These include an order in the power T&D business from the overseas market. No further details were provided. The total order value also covers EPC orders for pipeline laying and associated works in India.

These new wins have taken the total order inflow of KPTL  in the current fiscal year so far, to over Rs.5,400 crore. This inflow entails both power T&D and pipeline-related orders. According to Manish Mohnot, Managing Director & CEO, KPTL, the company is also “favourably placed in projects of over Rs.2,000 crore.”

Mohnot added that the company was on track to achieve its targeted numbers for the financial year 2020-21 (FY21), without discussing the actual target.

It may be recalled that on December 15, 2020, KPTL had announced the winning of new orders worth Rs.1,300 crore.

In an earlier communication, the EPC company had announced that its outstanding order book position, as of September 30, 2020, was Rs.12,292 crore out of which 47 per cent related to power T&D contracts.
