In a regulatory filing, Larsen & Toubro Ltd announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution has received railway electrification orders.
L&T said that the Power Transmission & Distribution business of L&T Construction has received two more packages from the implementing agencies of Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link project to provide electrical & mechanical systems for tunnels. The scope of these packages involves 33kV and 11kV HT power cable network, GIS substations, DG sets, tunnel lighting, ventilation & firefighting systems, and SCADA system, the filing said, without specifying the value of the orders.
The project implementing agency is Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
It may be recalled that in September this year, Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution Business secured a similar contract to provide electrical & mechanical systems for two tunnels in the Katra Dharam section of the Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla rail link project.
The scope of the package involved 33kV and 11 kV HT power cable network, GIS substation, DG sets, tunnel lighting, ventilation & firefighting systems, and SCADA system.
