Orient Electric strengthens switchgear portfolio with Nixa Shield 6kA MCB range

Orient Electric Ltd has expanded its switchgear portfolio with the launch of the Nixa Shield 6kA MCB (miniature circuit breaker) range.
Designed for residential and light commercial applications, the new range addresses the growing demand for reliable circuit protection with the right balance of performance, safety and application suitability, a release by Orient Electric said.
Nixa Shield 6kA MCBs are designed to simplify installation while offering greater flexibility, irrespective of site conditions. The range features 35 sqmm dual-function terminals that support both busbar and cable connections from either side, along with a 13-plate arc chute design that optimises the current path and reduces power loss. A two-position DIN clip enables quick and secure mounting, while line-load reversibility allows incoming and outgoing connections from either side.
The Nixa Shield range is available across rated currents from 6A to 63A in both B and C curve tripping characteristics, for the rated voltage of 240/415V AC. It conforms to IS/IEC 60898-1, and carries CE and ISI certifications, backed by a 5-year warranty.
