PFC Consulting Ltd has shortlisted five bidders for the purpose of their empanelment as Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISP) under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme.

In a very recent notification, PFCCL said that the five bidders have technically qualified and are being considered for opening of financial bids. While two bidders have bid individually, three are in consortium.

The bidders in question are:

  1. Gemstar Infra India Pvt Ltd
  2. HPL Electric & Power Ltd
  3. Apraava Energy Pvt Ltd in consortium with BCITS Pvt Ltd
  4. Ramalingam Construction Company Pvt Ltd in consortium with Iskraemeco India Pvt Ltd
  5. Sai Computers Ltd in consortium with Analogics Tech India Pvt Ltd

Financial bids are scheduled to open January 25, 2024.

As already reported by T&D India, PFCCL, in November 2023, had begun the process of empanelment of Advance Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISP) for projects under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

PFCCL has been designated as one of the project implementation agencies (PIA) for smart prepaid metering projects under RDSS. PFCCL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), has been mandated to provide an indicative quote to state government/state discoms on per-meter-per-month basis.

Subsequent to their empanelment, PFCCL will select empanelled AMISPs, based on an RfP process, for prospective smart metering projects to be taken up by PFCCL.
