Siemens Energy India: Power transmission enjoys 28 per cent growth in order backlog

The power transmission business of Siemens Energy India Ltd (SEIL) recorded a year-on-year increase of nearly 28 per cent in order backlog, as of June 30, 2026.
In an investor presentation, SEIL said that the unexecuted order book position of its power transmission business was Rs.134.9 per cent as of June 30, 2026, as against Rs.105.7 billion on the same date in 2025.
The power transmission vertical accounted for nearly 70 per cent of SEIL’s total unexecuted order book, as of June 30, 2026. This share was up from around 64 per cent in the previous year.
Despite a 3.2 per cent dip in the unexecuted order book of the power generation division, Siemens Energy India’s overall order book, at Rs.193.3 billion as of June 30, 2026, was up 16.4 per cent.
Order inflow
Major orders received by SEIL’s power transmission business during the quarter ending June 30, 2026 (Q3FY26), included:
- 400kV GIS products and substations for one of the world’s largest solar parks
- ±300MVAr STATCOM in southern part of India
- 400kV GIS substation in western part of India
Some of the important deliveries made by SEIL’s power transmission business in Q3FY26 were:
- 220kV GIS substation for a data centre project in Maharashtra
- 245kV GIS for a large hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh
- Supply and charging of a 220kV GIS for a metro project in Africa
- Supply of 240 MVA transformer to an energy company in USA
