Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd [TARIL] reported order inflows of Rs.665 crore in the first quarter (Q1: April to June) of FY26.

According to an investor presentation filed on stock exchanges, TARIL noted that the Q1FY26 order inflow included the company’s single-largest export order worth $16.65 million placed by Jindal Energy Botswana Pty Ltd.

TARIL’s outstanding order book position, as of June 30, 2025, stood at Rs.5,246 crore, and inquiries under negotiation were well over Rs.18,000 crore.

There has been a strong growth in order pipeline from utilities, infrastructure and industrial sectors, the presentation observed.

The presentation also noted that construction work on the 22,000 MVA capacity expansion plan at the Moraiya facility in Gujarat has started. This expansion will cater to EHV transformers.

Meanwhile, TARIL is also in the midst of stepping up manufacturing capacity of low- and medium-rating transformers by 15,000 MVA. This expansion is scheduled to complete in the current fiscal year.

Both these expansion projects will take TARIL’s overall manufacturing capacity to over 75,000 MVA from the current 40,000 MVA.

Meanwhile, capacity expansion at the CRGO (cold rolled grain oriented) steel processing unit is underway, the presentation noted. This CRGO unit belonged to Gujarat-based Posco-Poggenamp Electrical Steel Pvt Ltd, in which TARIL acquired controlling 51 per cent equity stake in January 2025.
