Transrail Lighting Ltd has secured new orders worth more than Rs.574 crore mainly in the core domestic power transmission & distribution (T&D) business
In a release, Transrail said that major contribution to these orders have come from reconductoring of transmission lines with its new-age carbon core HTLS conductors manufactured in its Silvassa plant.
The order wins comprise projects including EPC of transmission lines and transmission line reconductoring projects with supply of HTLS conductors from its factories and also supply of poles etc.
These wins further demonstrate the company’s capabilities in the HTLS conductor manufacturing and stringing and the importance of its recent increase in conductor manufacturing capacity by 70 per cent. The new orders also include an EPC contract for construction of a transmission line for a very large private sector Indian developer.
With this Transrail’s order intake for the current fiscal year, FY27, grows to Rs.1,609 crore, the release said, adding that the company is placed L1 with respect to additional orders worth Rs.694 crore.
The company continues to enjoy a healthy bidding pipeline across both domestic and international markets. A robust order book, coupled with a strong bidding pipeline, and increased capacities reinforces the company’s long-term growth outlook. It is notable that in order to cater to the growing order book of the company, it has already doubled its tower manufacturing capacity to 172,400 million tonnes per year and increased the conductor capacity by 70 per cent to 40,800 km per year.
