Akhilesh Kumar Dixit appointed CEO of EESL

Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) has announced Akhilesh Kumar Dixit as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from June 16, 2025.

Dixit joins EESL from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), where he served with distinction in multiple senior roles across core business functions.

A seasoned professional with over three decades of extensive experience, Dixit brings to EESL a deep understanding of the power sector and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Madan Mohan Technical University, Gorakhpur and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from the prestigious Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.

Over the span of his 32-year career, Dixit has held diverse leadership roles across various domains including substation and transmission line operations, business development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), human resources, and procurement. His international exposure and experience with multidisciplinary teams have enabled him to execute several high-impact projects across geographies.

On his appointment, Akhilesh KumarDixit said, “It is an honor to lead EESL at a time when energy efficiency is at the core of India’s sustainable development goals. I look forward to building on EESL’s strong legacy while charting a bold path forward—one that integrates smart technologies, fosters inclusive growth, and delivers measurable impact for our nation.”

As the new CEO, Dixit now shoulders the responsibility of transforming EESL into a next-generation energy solutions provider, driving innovation, accelerating adoption of sustainable technologies, and strengthening India’s energy efficiency mission, a release from EESL said.
