CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd (CG) has reported a 56 per cent year-on-year growth in order inflows during the first quarter (Q1: April to June) of FY26.
In a press release, CG said that its order inflows in Q1FY26, at Rs.4,764 crore, were 56 per cent higher than the comparable level in Q1FY26.
As of June 30, 2025, CG’s outstanding order book position was Rs.11,971 crore, around 70 per cent higher than the comparable level on June 30, 2024.
CG operates through two main segments – Industrial Systems and Power Systems. While the Power Systems division includes transformers, reactors, switchgear (circuit breakers, instrument transformers and bushings), the Industrial Systems division comprises motors and generators.
During Q1FY26, CG’s order inflows were dominated by the Power Systems division that had a share of 73 per cent. Further, over 75 per cent of the CG’s outstanding order book position pertained to this business segment. (See table)
It may be recalled that CG, during Q1FY26, bagged an order for bulk supply and servicing of 765kV transformers from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). The total value of the order was around Rs.641 crore, making it the highest single order received by the Transformers business of CG. The order is expected to be completed over a period of 18 to 36 months.
Besides, CG secured a large Rs.244-crore order from Techno Electric for supply of packaging instrument transformer, circuit breakers and lightning arrestors.
Both these orders related to the Power Systems division of CG and contributed significantly to the Rs.3,495 crore worth of orders received by this division in Q1FY26.
At the consolidated level, which is CG along with its Indian and international subsidiaries, the order inflow during Q1FY26 stood at Rs.5,138 crore – 62 per cent higher than in Q1FY25. The outstanding order book, as of June 30, 2025, was Rs.13,072 crore, representing a growth of 82 per cent over the corresponding level in 2024.
The consolidated performance for the quarter includes, for the first time, the operational performance of Axiro, which houses the Radio Frequency (RF) components business acquired by CG from Renesas Electronics and other affiliate entities, the release said.
