CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd (CG) has reported a 44 per cent year-on-year growth in its outstanding order book, as of June 30, 2024.

In a release, CG said that its overall order book as of June 30, 2024, stood at Rs.7,504 crore that was 44 per cent higher than the comparable Rs.4,909 crore, as of June 30, 2023.

CG operates through two broad divisions – industrial systems and power systems.

The outstanding order book of the industrial systems division was Rs.2,451 crore as of June 30, 2024, up 20.4 per cent from Rs.2,035 crore as of June 30, 2023. However, the share of industrial systems in the overall outstanding order book declined to 34.7 per cent as of June 30, 2024 from 41.5 per cent as of the previous year. (see table).

The unexecuted order book of the power systems division rose sharply by 60 per cent from Rs.2,874 crore as of June 30, 2023 to Rs.4,603 crore as of June 30, 2024. This division commanded a higher share in the outstanding order book —65.3 per cent as of June 30, 2024, as against 58.5 per cent as of June 30, 2023.

The CG release also said that margins in the power systems division were higher year-on-year on account of higher realizations, favourable product mix, higher exports and cost efficiencies.
