Polycab India reported a strong 44 per cent year-on-year growth in H1FY27 revenues of its wire & cable (W&C) business division.
In a release, Polycab said that its W&C business revenues grew 44 per cent year-on-year to Rs.15455.7 crore in the first half (H1: April to September) of FY27 from Rs.10764.1 crore in H1FY26.
This growth was driven by strong momentum across both channel and institutional businesses, the release observed.
In the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY27, the W&C business registered 47 per cent year-on-year growth, driven by a robust 50 per cent increase in domestic revenues. Growth was supported by healthy demand across key end-user segments, aided by sustained infrastructure activity and strong execution on the ground under Project Spring initiatives.
Within the W&C business, the wires segment continued to outperform the cables segment, while channel sales grew faster than institutional sales. The company’s diversified geographic presence, expanding customer base, and strong order book position the business well for continued growth. EBIT margins improved sequentially, supported by operational efficiencies and a favourable business mix, the release noted.
Commenting on the performance, Inder T. Jaisinghani, Chairman & Managing Director, Polycab India Ltd, said: “Q2FY27 marked another quarter of strong execution and meaningful progress for Polycab. We delivered our highest-ever second quarter and half-yearly revenue and profitability, reflecting the strength of our market position, the robust performance of our Wires & Cables business, and the continued strengthening of our FMEG business. The domestic demand environment continues to be encouraging, supported by healthy infrastructure spending, increasing electrification opportunities, and improving private sector investment activity. Our international business maintained its growth momentum, despite an uncertain geopolitical environment. As we advance our Project Spring initiatives, we remain committed to accelerating growth, driving premiumization, deepening market penetration, and consistently delivering superior value to customers, partners, and shareholders.”
