Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd (TARIL) has secured an order valued in excess of Rs.1,000 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL).

In a release, TARIL said that the order entails manufacture and supply of transformers of various ratings, along with associated works. The order is scheduled to be fulfilled over the next 30 months, TARIL said.

The order comes at a time when India is making significant investments in expanding and modernising its power transmission network to support rising electricity demand, accelerate renewable energy integration and advance the country’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

The order marks another significant milestone in TARIL’s growth journey and is among the Company’s largest project wins. It further reinforces TARIL’s position as a trusted partner in India’s power transmission sector and reflects its growing leadership in delivering large-scale, technologically advanced transformer solutions for critical infrastructure projects, the release noted.

As India’s largest electric power transmission utility, PGCIL plays a pivotal role in developing and operating the country’s interstate transmission network. Securing this order further underscores TARIL’s capability to execute strategically important projects that support India’s expanding energy infrastructure.

Commenting on the order win, Satyen Mamtora, CEO & Managing Director, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd, said: “Winning this order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is a proud milestone for TARIL and reflects the trust placed in our manufacturing excellence, technological capabilities and execution expertise. As India advances towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, building a resilient and future-ready power transmission network will be fundamental to enabling energy security and large-scale renewable energy integration.

We are honoured to contribute to this national transformation by delivering world-class transformer solutions engineered and manufactured in India, strengthening the country’s critical energy infrastructure. At TARIL, we remain committed to driving innovation, enhancing domestic manufacturing capabilities and partnering in India’s journey towards becoming a global power infrastructure leader.”

Well-positioned

This order further strengthens TARIL’s robust order book and underscores the confidence that leading power utilities place in the Company’s engineering excellence, manufacturing capabilities and execution track record. Backed by state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and a strong focus on innovation and quality, TARIL remains well positioned to support India’s expanding transmission infrastructure while contributing meaningfully to the country’s long-term energy transition and infrastructure ambitions, the release noted.
