Transrail Lighting Ltd has reported an order inflow of over Rs.8,500 crore during FY26, driven by its core power T&D business.
In an investor presentation, Transrail Lighting said that its FY26 order inflows stood at Rs.8,520 crore with power T&D dominating with an 89 per cent share. The remaining was accounted for by other verticals including civil construction, poles & lighting and railways. The domestic market accounted for 63 per cent of the overall order inflows in FY26.
As of March 31, 2026, the company’s outstanding order book position was Rs.16,313 crore with power T&D representing a share of 92 per cent. The domestic-international mix was 61:39.
Over the past five years, Transrail’s unexecuted order book (excluding L1 position) has grown steadily from just Rs.5,908 crore as of March 31, 2022 to Rs.16,313 crore as of March 31, 2026 (see table).
“Backed by a healthy order book, strong bidding pipeline across businesses and geographies, Transrail remains well positioned to sustain its growth trajectory over the medium to long term,” noted Randeep Narang, MD & CEO, Transrail Lighting Ltd.
During FY26, Transrail Lighting successfully doubled its overall tower manufacturing capacity to 1,72,400 tonnes per year. This included a new tower facility at Butibori in Nagpur district, Maharashtra. Brownfield expansions were also carried out at the company’s existing facilities, located at Deoli (Maharashtra), Vadodara (Gujarat) and Silvassa (UT of DNH&DD).
By September 2026, Transrail overall capacity for towers and poles is slated to reach 1,96,000 tonnes per year.
The company is also expanding its conductor manufacturing capacity by way of a two-phase expansion programme at the Silvassa facility. This would take the company’s conductor capacity to 49,500 km per year by September 2026, from the pre-capex level of 24,000 km per year.
In its meeting held on May 26, 2026, the board of Transrail Lighting Ltd approved additional capex of Rs.203 crore that would be mainly deployed for procuring equipment for project site construction.
During FY26, Transrail supplied around 1.5 lakh tonnes of transmission towers and 31,000 km of conductor (including HTLS conductor). The company also debuted in new international markets like Abu Dhabi, Tunisia, Djibouti and Botswana.
