Apar Industries Ltd has recorded its highest-ever closing order book with respect to its conductor business.

In a release, Apar said that its conductor business had an order book of Rs.12,025 crore, as of September 30, 2026, making it the highest ever. Exports accounted for 51 per cent share in this order book. Compared with the corresponding level in 2025, the order book was 67.2 per cent.

In the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY27, Apar’s conductor business reported new order inflow of Rs.4,775 crore, more than twice the level in Q2FY26. It may be recalled that in Q1FY27, the company’s conductor business witnessed massive order intake, dominated by two large overseas electric utilities, of Rs.5,245 crore. This also explains the higher share of exports in the company’s outstanding order book, as of September 30, 2026.

Z-shaped conductor

Apar also received its first order from Scandanavia for highly-specialized Z-shaped conductors. These conductor, known for their resistance to high-velocity winds, will be deployed at an offshore wind farm in the European nation. It is learnt that Apar is among only three manufactures globally of Z-shaped conductors.

Healthy performance

Commenting on the results as well as the outlook of the business Kushal N Desai, Chairman & Managing Director, Apar Industries said, “Amid ongoing global uncertainties, we have concluded the first half of the year with a healthy performance in both revenue and profitability reflecting the strength of our business and product offerings. Recently, the company successfully completed a fund-raise by Qualified Institutional Placement. This fund-raise will significantly bolster our balance sheet there by giving us the financial headroom to accelerate our growth initiatives. While prices of metals and base oils remain elevated in the short term, our order book looks strong and we remain focused on delivering long-term value by strengthening our capabilities and consistent performance.”

Cable business
  • The pending order book, as of September 30, 2026, was around Rs.3,000 crore and bulk of these orders are expected to be completed by end of FY27.
  • The cable business received orders worth nearly Rs.1,000 crore for cables to be supplied to Google’s data centre in the US, and Amazon’s data centre in India.
  • Revenue in O2FY27 touched Rs.1,875 crore, up 22.1 per cent year-on-year. Revenue in H1FY27 stood at Rs.3,713 crore, up 25.7 per cent.
  • Domestic revenue in H1FY27 was up 65.8 per cent year-on-year, while export revenue was down 30.2 per cent in H1FY27. US revenue was 29.1 per cent lower in H1FY27, year-on-year.
